Why this role matters

This is not a typical sales position. It is a true hunter role for someone hungry to win, with the energy and drive to open doors and create pipeline from scratch. As we expand in the region, you will be responsible for building our presence in the Australian and New Zealand market, working with some of the most exciting banks and financial technology organisations in the region. You will have the freedom to open new opportunities, shape conversations, and grow long term partnerships, supported by a global team of experts in Data Science, Solutions Consulting, and Qualified Services.

You will be the trusted advisor that clients turn to when they wish to address critical challenges, whether that is preventing fraud, scaling digital onboarding, or unlocking the benefits of AI in credit decisioning.

An opportunity to own and grow a market from the ground up supported by a proven global platform,

with a robust leadership team who puts growth and support first, investing in your development as much as your results. The team around you is encouraging and collaborative, and has built a culture where people share ideas freely, champion each other’s wins, and succeed together.

The role offers flexible and remote friendly working arrangements with travel for client meetings and regional collaboration, alongside the chance to work with leading banks, financial technology companies, and payment providers across Australia and New Zealand. You will be part of a company recognised globally for innovation in risk decisioning and AI.

What You’ll Do

You will lead business development and client engagement for our Australia and New Zealand region, shaping opportunities and driving adoption of our decisioning platform. You will be at the forefront of expanding our footprint, partnering with banks, FinTechs, and financial institutions to identify challenges, frame solutions, and deliver measurable commercial value.

You will collaborate closely with Data Science, Solutions Consulting, and Professional Services to progress opportunities from first conversation through to closure, ensuring a seamless transition into delivery. This role combines market development, consultative selling, and strategic account leadership, positioning you as both a trusted advisor to clients and a growth leader for Provenir in the region.

To succeed in this role, you will bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution, with the ability to open doors, shape conversations, and build lasting client trust. You will be naturally consultative, commercially sharp, and comfortable engaging senior stakeholders to uncover needs and co‑create value propositions. Curiosity,

resilience, and a strong hunter mentality will be key, complemented by the ability to navigate complex organisations and translate opportunities into structured, scalable engagements. This is a remote role, but you must be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Occasional travel may be required for regional team meet‑ups and client meetings.

Your Strengths and Skills

- Proven track record in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or data‑driven platforms with consistent revenue success.
- Hunter mentality with strategic depth: a hungry, high‑energy self‑starter who thrives on opening recent doors, balancing short‑term wins with long‑term account expansion.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders to uncover pain points and shape high‑value solutions.
- Knowledge of at least two of the following areas: credit risk, fraud, customer onboarding, or collections, with the ability to contextualise these within Provenir’s value proposition.

3. AI and Data-Driven Orientation

- Comfortable articulating the value of AI and advanced analytics.
- Genuine curiosity to champion Provenir’s vision of making AI‑driven decisioning accessible, transparent, and value‑generating.

4. Relationship Leadership & Market Insight

- Skilled at building long‑term partnerships, establishing trust at C‑level,

and maintaining strong operational ties.
- Awareness of the ANZ financial services and fintech ecosystem, with the ability to provide client and market intelligence.
- Adept at working cross‑functionally with Data Science, Solutions Consulting, and Professional Services to ensure delivery success.
- Strong communicator, negotiator, and storyteller capable of positioning Provenir as a thought leader in the industry.

Experience Required

- 5–10 years of overall sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or data‑driven platforms.
- Demonstrated success over at least 3 years in selling to financial services or fintech clients within the ANZ region, ideally engaging Tier 1–2 banks, large non‑bank financial institutions, or high‑growth fintechs.
- Seniority and presence to build trusted relationships with C‑level executives, combined with the hunter mindset and resilience needed to open new opportunities and drive market growth from the ground up.

Although not essential, it would be great if you also have any of these strengths,

- Operates with a founder’s mindset, taking full accountability for building the market presence from the ground up.
- Resourceful and proactive in navigating ambiguity, identifying new avenues for growth, and building momentum without waiting for direction.

7. Expansion & Account Growth Mindset

- Skilled in “land and expand” strategies: securing initial wins, deepening client adoption across multiple products, and embedding the platform as a long‑term strategic partner.
- Able to map client organisations and influence multiple stakeholders to broaden footprint and maximise lifetime value.

8. Ecosystem Builder & Market Shaper

- Actively cultivates partnerships with data providers, system integrators, and industry bodies to accelerate growth.
- Positions Provenir not just as a vendor, but as a key player in shaping the future of decisioning and AI in the ANZ market.

Travel Requirements

This is a remote role based in Australia. Travel is required for client meetings, conferences, and internal business needs. The role may also require occasional international travel for regional team meetings, global sales kickoffs, or other company events. All business travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the Company’s travel policy.

Our employees are our top priority; we offer comprehensive health and wellness plans. You will enjoy paid time off and company holidays, flexible and remote‑friendly opportunities, and maternity/paternity leave.

At Provenir, we recognize that diversity and inclusion make our teams stronger. We are committed to equal employment opportunity and welcome everyone regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, domestic partner status, citizenship, or veteran status or medical condition. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
