We are looking for Support Workers to join our team at Bethel Lifecare. Bethel Lifecare is registered as a provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and offer a range of disability services in the Orange area. Our supports are tailored to assist participants live safely and comfortably at home and to actively enjoy their local community. Our mission is to promote and enhance the quality of life of participants through a client-centric approach. This will be achieved in a positive workplace which fosters respect, empathy, independence, dignity, companionship and partnership. We strive to deliver high quality services for each participant using a person-centred approach and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications & experience

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate

NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with children’s check (or willing to obtain)

Preferred Individual Community Support, Disability Services qualification or willingness to undertake and complete the course.

Previous experience in the sector working with participants





Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Understanding of person- centred care

Willingness to undertake personal care

Tasks & responsibilities

Support participants with their daily living needs such as cooking, cleaning, personal care whilst enabling as much independence as possible

Understand how the participant would like to participate in society and support them to build their knowledge and connections so they can live the life they want

Monitor the safety and wellbeing of the participant and report on any concerns/ risks identified

Speak up and support the participants if rights are not respected

Support participants to build on their strengths and engage them in meaningful ways

Be able to understand and implement participants support plans

Liaise with participants, families and external stakeholders to work towards achieving goals
