PROVE Infrastructure delivers specialist mechanical and electrical consultancy and complete design and construct contracts for the water and wastewater industry, from initial design through installation and commissioning.

Working closely with the Director and a highly skilled engineering and delivery team, you will lead electrical design and project delivery across projects valued between $50,000 and $1 million. You will also strengthen existing client relationships, develop new business opportunities and contribute to tender submissions.

The role

Prepare functional, preliminary and detailed electrical designs, reports, calculations and equipment specifications.

Produce coordinated AutoCAD packages, including schematics, equipment layouts, cable schedules and construction documentation.

Design motor controls, including VSDs, soft starters and DOL starters, alongside PLC, instrumentation, telemetry and industrial communications systems.

Review switchboard designs, coordinate mechanical and electrical interfaces, and participate in HAZOP and Safety in Design reviews.

Advise clients and manage scope, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, variations and progress claims, supporting projects through construction and commissioning.

Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and open doors to new clients and projects.

Monitor tender platforms,



assess opportunities and prepare tender submissions, including technical proposals and pricing.

Apply Australian Standards, water authority requirements and PROVE’s ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems.

What you’ll bring

At least seven years’ relevant engineering experience, including electrical and mechanical consultancy experience in the water industry.

An electrical engineering degree completed in Australia.

Strong AutoCAD skills and experience producing complete engineering design and construction packages.

Practical industrial electrical design expertise and knowledge of Australian Standards and water industry requirements.

Proven project management skills, commercial judgement and confidence advising clients.

Experience contributing to tenders, maintaining client relationships and identifying current business opportunities.

Chartered status is preferred but not essential.
