Position Overview

- Positions: Learning Assistant - Junior School
- Workload: Multiple Positions Available, Term Time only
- Employment Basis: Full Time and Permanent, Part Time
- Anticipated Start Date: January 2027

The Role

St Andrews Lutheran College is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Assistants to join our Junior School team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students and teachers in a vibrant and inclusive school environment, where every learner is encouraged to thrive.

In this role,



you will be supporting Junior School students; however, Learning Assistants at St Andrews work flexibly across year levels as required. You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers to promote student engagement, foster independence, and contribute to a positive and supportive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist school teachers with classroom activities and curriculum delivery
- Support individual students and small groups of students with diverse learning needs
- Contribute to a calm, organised, and inclusive classroom environment
- Supervise students during break times and playground duties
- Monitor and report on classroom equipment and facilities
- Perform other duties as directed by the School

About You

- A genuine passion for supporting student's learning and wellbeing
- Certificate III in Education Support (or higher)
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in an educational setting
- A current Blue Card for child-related employment (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Full working rights in Australia
