Our client is an established biotech manufacturer specialising in healthcare products used in critical medical procedures.

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Equipment & Facilities Engineer to join a growing manufacturing operation. You will play an important role in maintaining equipment reliability, supporting critical infrastructure and ensuring manufacturing operations run efficiently. Working alongside an experienced technical team, you will troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate maintenance and calibration activities, manage external contractors and contribute to facilities improvement projects. This is a hands-on, varied position suited to someone who enjoys practical problem-solving and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Duties

- Investigate equipment faults and troubleshoot operational issues
- Support preventative maintenance, servicing and calibration activities
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and specialist equipment repairs




- Assist with HVAC and critical facilities infrastructure
- Maintain accurate equipment records and GMP documentation
- Support equipment installations and commissioning activities
- Contribute to facilities upgrades and manufacturing expansion projects
- Work collaboratively to minimise production downtime

Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience within biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred
- Sound mechanical aptitude with the ability to investigate equipment faults and perform first-line troubleshooting
- Experience coordinating external contractors, specialist service providers and equipment maintenance activities
- Understanding of facilities operations, preventative maintenance and critical infrastructure, including HVAC systems
- Familiarity with GMP requirements, technical documentation, maintenance records and quality procedures would be highly regarded
- Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach to supporting manufacturing operations
