About therole

As anEmbryologist, you'll join our collaborative Brisbane laboratory team, workingalongside experienced scientists and leaders in a high-performingenvironment.You will contribute to laboratory services that supportpatients throughout their fertility journey, applying your existing skills anddeveloping your expertise across a full range of services.

We are seekingan early-career embryologist with practical experience who is ready to broadentheir skills in a fast-paced laboratory offering a full range of fertilityservices. While candidates with clinical embryology experience are preferred, asuitably qualified graduate scientist may also be considered.

Yourresponsibilities and development will be tailored to your experience anddemonstrated competencies, supported by regular feedback and competencysign-off. If appointed as a graduate scientist, you will receive structured,supervised training to progress towards a fully trained scientist role.

Depending onyour level of competency, you will perform or undertake training in:

- Safe laboratory practice, including specimenhandling, chain of custody and witnessing, aseptic technique, qualitycontrol, equipment care and laboratory information systems.
- Embryology procedures, including sperm preparation,oocyte handling, fertilisation and embryo checks, embryo culture, mediapreparation, and oocyte and embryo warming.
- More complex procedures, such as embryo transfer,vitrification, ICSI and cryostorage management, with supervision andfurther training as required.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and data,following approved procedures, and contributing to productivity,



quality,performance and compliance standards while working with ourmultidisciplinary team to deliver safe, accurate and compassionate patientcare.

Full-time andpart-time role parental leave contracts, with potential for future professionalopportunities. Once suitably trained, you will participate in a rotatingweekend and on-call roster.

About you

You arepassionate about science and patient care and are looking to build or furtheryour career in clinical embryology. Whether you are an experienced embryologistor a early career graduate, you are eager to learn, committed to quality, andthrive in a collaborative team environment. You will bring:

- A degree in biological, health or related sciences(postgraduate embryology/reproductive science qualifications highlyregarded)
- A strong interest in assisted reproductivetechnology (ART) and clinical embryology
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment toquality and patient safety
- Strong communication, organisational and timemanagement skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and laboratorysystems
- The ability to work collaboratively within amultidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, RTACstandards, quality systems and relevant legislation
