- Executive leadership role reporting directly to the Committee of Management
- Shape future environmental learning, leadership and landscape outcomes across Greater Melbourne
- Based in beautiful new education and science hub in St Kilda Botanic Gardens, including Australia’s first Citizen Science Lab
About the EcoCentre
The Port Phillip EcoCentre connects and inspires people to care for our land, water, wildlife and wellbeing. Since 1999, our multidisciplinary staff and 3000+ volunteers implement creative environmental and climate action programs with a network of cross-sectoral partners. We recognise that ecosystems and the climate are in crisis, and believe that connected communities drive positive change.
In October 2025 we launched our beautiful new EcoCentre, a world-leadership-rated sustainable facility which includes community education and meeting rooms, a community garden and kitchen, and Australia's first citizen science lab. This lively community hub is surrounded by botanic gardens, just two blocks from the beach. Volunteers, families, students, businesses and affiliate groups visit our facilities to join us in citizen science, gardening, cooking, learning, repairing broken goods, skill-building, research and more. From this base and across 130+ postcodes, we run education, science, volunteering programs and consultation services.
