Tecside is looking for a driven, hands-on Recruitment Manager to take ownership of our Melbourne branch, based in Moorabbin. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who knows the trades and industrial recruitment market, enjoys leading people and has the commercial mindset to drive growth.

You’ll inherit an established team, existing client relationships and active recruitment desks, with the opportunity to build on what is already there, grow the team and take the branch to the next level.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running and growth of the Melbourne branch, with responsibilities including:

- Lead and develop the team: Manage, mentor and motivate our Talent Specialists, setting clear expectations, driving performance and supporting their professional development.
- Drive recruitment outcomes: Remain hands-on with your own recruitment desk, managing vacancies and filling trades and light industrial roles.
- Grow client relationships: Build strong relationships with existing clients through regular site visits, while identifying opportunities to win new business.
- Drive branch growth: Take ownership of revenue, margins, pipeline activity and overall branch performance.
- Oversee operations: Ensure the branch runs effectively, maintaining high standards across compliance, reporting, candidate care and client service.
- Lead from the front: Create a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture.

What we’re looking for





We're looking for someone with the experience and confidence to lead a recruitment team, while maintaining a genuine passion for recruitment and delivering outstanding results.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Proven experience managing a trades and/or light industrial recruitment desk, team or branch.
- Previous experience leading recruitment consultants and managing performance.
- A strong understanding of the labour hire and recruitment industry.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to recruit, fill roles and manage client relationships yourself.
- A commercial mindset, with an understanding of revenue, margins, fill rates and pipeline management.
- Confidence building client relationships and conducting face-to-face site visits.
- Knowledge of labour hire compliance, workplace health and safety and relevant award rates.
- The ability to identify opportunities, drive growth and build a successful team.
