The opportunity

Our client is an established South West Sydney home builder with a strong reputation for quality and productivity. They deliver everything from entry-level homes at around $300k through to premium builds up to $1.5M, with the bulk of their work sitting in the $500k-$700k range. They’re now looking for a Production Estimator to join their team on an immediate start.

This is a outstanding opportunity for an estimator who enjoys working in a busy, high-volume environment, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a business that values quality over quantity. The builder uses a number of recruitment partners and also sources directly, so we’re looking for people who are genuinely strong rather than simply available.

The role

As Production Estimator, you’ll be responsible for accurate and timely pricing across the company’s range of homes. Your day-to-day will include:

- Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and production estimates from plans and specifications
- Pricing builds against current supplier and trade rates
- Reviewing and pricing variations, and turning them around quickly for sales and construction teams
- Maintaining and updating pricing data, rates and estimating templates as costs move
- Identifying cost risks, scope gaps and opportunities to improve margin




- Working closely with the contracts, sales and site teams to support a smooth hand-over into construction
- Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes and accuracy

About you

You’re an experienced estimator who understands how residential homes are built and priced. You’ll bring:

- Proven production or project home estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and trades
- Excellent attention to detail and a commercial mindset
- Confidence using estimating software, take-off tools and Excel
- The ability to work independently, manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Clear communication skills, with the confidence to deal with internal stakeholders at all levels
- A base in, or an easy commute to, South West Sydney
