The Role

As our Electrical Estimator, you'll play a key role in securing new projects and supporting the continued growth of Bradlec Electrical.

You'll work closely with the directors, project managers and site teams, with the opportunity to influence how projects are priced, planned and delivered.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects.

- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

- Completing material take-offs and labour calculations.

- Obtaining and negotiating supplier and subcontractor quotations.





- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.

- Preparing tender submissions and detailed cost breakdowns.

- Liaising with builders, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

- Identifying project risks, exclusions and opportunities before tender submission.

- Working closely with project managers to ensure smooth handover of successful tenders.

- Helping improve our estimating systems, processes and efficiency.

- Exploring and implementing AI tools, automation and emerging technologies to streamline estimating workflows and improve accuracy.

- Challenging traditional processes and identifying smarter, more efficient ways of working.

You’ll have the support of an experienced team, but also the freedom and responsibility to manage your workload and contribute your own ideas.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

- Has proven experience estimating commercial or industrial electrical projects.

- Has a strong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials and labour requirements.

- Can confidently interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

- Has strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.

- Understands the importance of competitive pricing without sacrificing profitability.

- Is organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple tenders.

- Communicates confidently with builders, suppliers and internal teams.

- Is comfortable using estimating software, with Groundplan and Simpro experience highly regarded.

- Has a forward-thinking mindset and a genuine interest in AI, automation and new technology.

- Is willing to learn, experiment and adopt smarter ways of working.

- Takes ownership of their work rather than waiting to be told what to do.

- Wants to contribute ideas and help improve the business.

A background as an A-Grade Electrician or experience working on site would be highly regarded, but isn't essential for the right candidate.

You don't need to be an AI expert,



but we want someone who recognises the opportunities technology presents and is excited to be part of that evolution.

Most importantly, we want someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine interest in helping the business succeed.
