An excellent opportunity has become available for a Bid Manager to join a leading Tier 1 civil infrastructure contractor, supporting a strong pipeline of major infrastructure projects across Sydney and NSW.

This chance would suit someone with a background in Civil Engineering who has either transitioned into estimating, pre-contracts or bid management, or is currently working in project delivery and looking to move into a more strategic, office-based role.

We're not necessarily looking for an established Bid Manager. Ideally seeking someone with a strong technical understanding of civil construction, the ability to develop construction methodologies and the commercial awareness to coordinate competitive tender submissions.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior management, estimating, engineering and operational teams, you'll play a key role in managing tender submissions and developing winning strategies for major civil infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing and coordinating tender submissions for major civil infrastructure projects.
- Leading the bid process from initial tender review through to submission and post-tender negotiations.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators and senior leadership to develop competitive tender strategies.
- Developing and reviewing construction methodologies, staging plans, programmes and technical submissions.
- Reviewing tender documentation to identify project risks, opportunities and commercial considerations.
- Coordinating internal engineering, estimating and operational resources throughout the tender process.
- Managing subcontractor and supplier engagement to support tender pricing and delivery strategies.




- Ensuring submissions are technically compliant, commercially competitive and aligned with client requirements.
- Supporting tender presentations, client meetings and post-tender clarifications.

About You:

- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil infrastructure contractor.
- Background in Project Engineering, Senior Project Engineering, Project Management, Estimating, Pre-Contracts or Bid Management.
- Strong technical understanding of civil construction methodologies, sequencing, programming and project delivery.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify project risks and opportunities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Experience across roads, rail, utilities, aviation or major civil infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
- Previous bid management experience would be beneficial but is not essential for candidates with a strong engineering and project delivery background.
