About the Role

Delta Group is looking for a practical, self-motivated Project Engineer to join our Project Management team. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, the Construction Manager (Demo/Civil) and site teams to plan, deliver and close out projects safely, on budget and to the standard our customers expect.

What you’ll be doing

Planning and delivering projects using sound engineering and project management principles, in line with Delta Group’s QSE management systems and Project Delivery Process

Preparing variations for Project Manager review and following up site instruction requests

Developing and status-tracking short range programs with resources allocated to each task





Tracking project costs weekly and analysing the cost of work methodologies

Preparing QA inspections and ITPs, keeping site diaries with photos, and recording actual production rates

Preparing QSE documents including management plans, SWEMS and permits, and completing Take 5s

Reviewing and verifying subcontractor and supplier invoices, and vetting subcontractor tenders

Assisting with estimating and tender submissions, and helping identify current opportunities in construction, demolition, recycling and civil works

Preparing monthly project reports, including the risk and opportunity register

Maintaining strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and the site team

Supporting senior management on broader Delta Group operations as required

About you

Understanding of project management fundamentals and risk management

Self-starter with a practical, hands-on approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Computer literate, with accurate documentation and reporting skills

Willingness to travel across the state for project work
