Please note: The available shifts for this part-time position are Thursday and Friday mornings. What you’ll do As a Cook, you’ll play an important role in delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals for our residents, their families and visitors. Working closely with our kitchen and care teams, you’ll help create enjoyable dining experiences while ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently and with care. Your day‑to‑day will include: Preparing and serving a variety of nutritious, high‑quality meals. Following food safety, hygiene and safe food‑handling practices. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment. Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth daily operations. Contributing to a positive kitchen culture and delivering friendly, customer‑focused service. What you’ll bring Ideally, you’ll bring: Experience working as a cook in a commercial kitchen, with aged care or healthcare experience highly regarded. Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP and workplace health and safety principles. Strong communication skills and a team‑focused attitude. The ability to work efficiently in a quick‑paced environment. Basic computer skills. A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in aged care or a similar environment. Availability to work Thursday and Friday morning shifts. Most importantly,



we’re looking for someone who takes pride in their cooking, enjoys working with others and understands that good food can make a real difference to our residents’ day.

Must be able to work morning shifts from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm or closing shifts from 4:00 pm to 11:30 pm

Must be able to work until 1:30 am

Must be able to work from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm between Monday - Friday

We’re currently looking for team members to work Tuesday & Wednesday either 6am - 2pm or 3pm - 11pm.

Job Description

The Cook is at the heart of the restaurant operations. You will be preparing fresh and delicious food, problem solving and weighing‑in with expertise on vibrant Mexican flavours. You’ll have the opportunity to utilise fresh ingredients to produce high standard products for our new and regular guests.

Experience is helpful, but it’s not everything. What we mean is:

- Kitchen experience is great but not essential
- Is open to coaching, eager to learn and ready to put in the effort
- ‘Can do’ attitude and can be relied upon
