Aurex Group is partnering with a leading global property services organisation to appoint a Finance Manager within its Melbourne operations.

This opportunity suits a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders and clients. You will bring financial discipline, clear insight and practical advice to a service delivery environment, helping stakeholders understand performance, manage risk and improve profitability.

Working closely with senior operational and finance leadership, you will balance day-to-day financial delivery with forward-looking analysis. The role offers direct exposure to a high-performing, growth-focused business leader and the opportunity to influence commercial outcomes.

The opportunity

You will take responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls across your account remit, supporting both client financial requirements and the organisation’s commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Owning month-end reporting, journals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.

Preparing budgets and forecasts, explaining performance and identifying emerging risks and opportunities.

Partnering with account and operational leaders to understand revenue, costs, margins and cash flow.

Delivering accurate, timely client reporting in line with contractual requirements and financial KPIs.

Managing billing, receivables and financial queries, working with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.

Strengthening purchasing and procure-to-pay processes, including purchase order compliance.

Translating financial information into clear recommendations for finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Improving reporting and processes,



and providing practical financial guidance to account and site teams.

About you

You are comfortable taking ownership of the detail while contributing to broader commercial discussions. You build credibility with operational teams, communicate confidently with clients and turn financial analysis into practical action.

You will bring:

Experience as a Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Manager or in a comparable operational finance role, and a demonstrated track record of genuine financial business partnering.

A background in facilities management, outsourced services, infrastructure maintenance, technical services or another contract-driven business.

Robust management accounting skills across month-end, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and reporting.

Experience partnering with operational or project delivery teams to improve financial performance.

An understanding of service contract economics, cost control, working capital and profitability.

Strong Excel and financial systems capability, with an interest in making processes more efficient.

A relevant tertiary qualification; CPA, CA or an equivalent professional qualification will be well regarded.

Direct property or facilities management experience is welcome, although candidates from adjacent operational services sectors are strongly encouraged to apply. Your ability to understand service delivery, partner with stakeholders and take ownership of financial outcomes will be central to your success.
