Merchandiser
St. Albans (Hybrid & Flexi Working Hours)
Up to £35,000 pa

Here at Every Step Recruitment, Sales & Marketing, we are excited to be supporting our well-established and highly respected Client in St. Albans who are recruiting for a Merchandiser on a full-time, permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to accurately forecast correct levels of stock for all seasons throughout the year.

Our Client is offering a very competitive salary, hybrid working (3 days in the office per week), and the opportunity to choose the hours that suit your lifestyle – providing their core operating hours of 10am – 3pm are covered each day.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing all back order and replenishment requests
- Accurately forecasting stock levels taking into account seasonality, promotions and supplier lead times
- Avoiding potential stock issues by accurate phasing
- Responding accordingly to changes in demand / logistics
- Monitoring sales closely and topping up ordering to meet predicted demand
- Manually tweaking automated forecasts in accordance to sales trends




- Maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers, internal and external stakeholders
- Resolution of supplier queries
- Maintaining the system in terms of pricing, promotions, products etc.
- Resolution of complaints in a professional and efficient manner
- Ensuring returns are actioned within the set time-frame
- Monitoring the lead times of orders and updating the system as appropriate

Skills and attributes required:

- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar Merchandiser capacity
- Significant forecasting experience
- An analytical nature; ability to review previous data in order to forecast demand
- Strong MS Excel skills (to include VLookups and Pivot Tables)
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Confidence working within a busy, fast-paced environment
