Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join a specialist cyber security team supporting Defence investigative and insider threat capabilities. This role is suited to a security professional with a strong ICT engineering, systems or architecture background who enjoys working across both technical and governance functions.

You will work closely with security engineers and system administrators to support a SIEM platform, maintain security documentation, model systems and capabilities, and contribute to security risk management activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Support and maintain cyber security documentation across secure environments.
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP and SSP-A).
- Develop Security Risk Management Plans (SRMPs) and Incident Response Plans (IRPs).
- Conduct systems and capability modelling activities.
- Perform technology and business analysis to support security outcomes.
- Work with security engineering and administration teams supporting SIEM capabilities.
- Assist with the mapping of Information Security Manual (ISM) controls to systems and capabilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of security processes, procedures and governance frameworks.





Education / Certifications Required

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF, Security+ or equivalent are highly regarded.

Knowledge / Skills Required

Essential

- Experience in systems and capability modelling.
- Strong technology and business analysis skills.
- Experience developing security documentation, including:
- System Security Plans (SSP / SSP-A)
- Security Risk Management Plans (SRMP)
- Incident Response Plans (IRP)

- Robust understanding of ICT systems, applications and cyber security principles.
- Experience within complex enterprise or government environments.

Desirable

- Experience mapping ISM controls to capability elements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Word and Excel.
- Experience with Neo4j, NeoDash, ArchiMate or similar modelling tools.
