Creative Kids is seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Educator to join our team in Clontarf, QLD 4019. This is a part-time position offering flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance. As a Childcare Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive. This position is fundamental to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care services that support both child development and family wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and care for children in a safe, clean and welcoming childcare environment
- Implement structured and unstructured play-based learning activities that promote child development across all developmental domains
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviour and developmental milestones using appropriate assessment tools
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with each child and their families
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's learning, wellbeing and any concerns
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Support children's emotional, social, cognitive and physical development through mentoring and guidance
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver engaging educational programmes aligned with the service's curriculum framework
- Respond appropriately to children's individual needs, behaviour and developmental levels
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the service

What we're looking for

- A current relevant childcare qualification, such as a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Valid Working with Children Blue Card
- Completion of GECCKO Foundation of Child Safety
- Current First Aid and CPR certification




- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families and colleagues
- Excellent observation and assessment skills to identify children's learning needs and developmental progress
- Knowledge of play-based and child-centred learning approaches
- Understanding of child safeguarding, duty of care and child protection responsibilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced childcare workplace
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive service culture
- Experience in an early childhood education and care setting is highly desirable
