Large, successful Australian manufacturer seeking two highly skilled engineers to design bespoke mechanical equipment and manage projects from start to finish.

An excellent chance is available for an outstanding Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with exceptional SolidWorks 3D modelling capabilities to join an established Australian engineering and manufacturing company.

Must be experts in SolidWorks 3D design, not simply drafting.

Experience in fuel systems, Vacuum Systems, Pressure Vessels, Fluid Handling, heavy vehicles, and specialised equipment is highly regarded. Top salary, best conditions.

They seek two (2) experienced Mechanical Design Engineers who can take ownership of engineering design projects, from initial concept and detailed 3D modelling through to manufacturing, assembly and final production.

Successful applicants will have the engineering knowledge, practical manufacturing understanding, and technical ability to design complex mechanical systems and assemblies efficiently and accurately.

The Position:

- Develop complex SolidWorks 3D models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Take responsibility for engineering design projects from concept through to manufacture.
- Design mechanical, structural and fabricated components and assemblies.
- Produce detailed SolidWorks 2D drawings incorporating GD&T.;
- Utilise SolidWorks PDM for design documentation and revision control.
- Undertake engineering calculations, technical assessments and design reviews.Consider structural integrity, weight distribution, component integration and manufacturing requirements.
- Work with hydraulic, pneumatic and associated mechanical systems.
- Prepare bills of materials, technical specifications and engineering documentation.




- Ensure designs meet applicable Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with manufacturing and fabrication teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Provide engineering support throughout production and final assembly.

To Be Successful:

- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised engineering qualification.
- Expert-level SolidWorks 3D modelling and assembly design skills – essential.
- Advanced SolidWorks 2D drafting and GD&T; knowledge.
- Experience using SolidWorks PDM.
- Strong mechanical, structural and integration engineering knowledge.
- Experience designing complex fabricated equipment and mechanical assemblies.
- Sound understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Ability to independently manage engineering design tasks and project schedules.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a practical engineering approach.

Highly Regarded Experience:

- Pressure vessels and associated mechanical equipment.
- Fluid handling, pumping and piping systems.
- Heavy vehicle or specialised mobile equipment engineering.
- Structural steel and fabricated mechanical assemblies.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Engineering design involving weight optimisation and load distribution.
- FEA and structural analysis.
- Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Service (DFS).
