Austech Precision Engineering Pty Ltd, a leading provider of engineering services, is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join their team as an Apprentice - Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning). This is a full-time role based in Rocklea, QLD 4106.
What you'll be doing
- Your will be trained on CNC lathe & milling machines and manual machines
- Undertaking a comprehensive apprenticeship program to gain practical skills and experience in the Fitting & Turning trade
- Performing a variety of tasks such as assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Operating a range of hand tools, power tools, and machinery to manufacture, modify, and repair parts
- Participating in on-the-job training and attending off-site training to complete the Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade qualification
- Working collaboratively with the engineering team to contribute to the overall success of the business
What we're looking for
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in engineering
- Willingness to learn and a commitment to completing the Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning) qualification
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a workshop environment
