Your existing skills in access control, electronic locking, sensors, motors, wiring and troubleshooting could make you a great fit for our team.

What you'll be doing

As an Automatic Pedestrian Door Technician, you'll be working across a variety of commercial buildings and facilities throughout Greater Sydney.

Your responsibilities will include

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing automatic sliding, swing and other pedestrian door systems.
- Diagnosing electrical, electronic and mechanical faults in automatic door operators and control systems.
- Working with sensors, motors, controllers, safety devices, electronic locks and access control interfaces.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure automatic doors operate safely and reliably.
- Installing and commissioning automatic pedestrian door systems and associated components.
- Attending customer sites to troubleshoot breakdowns and complete repairs.
- Providing professional, friendly service to our commercial and facility management customers.
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate job records.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in:
- Locksmithing – especially electronic locking, commercial hardware and access control.
- Security Systems – including electronic security, access control, intercoms and electronic locking systems.




- Electrical or Electronic Service Work – particularly fault finding, wiring, sensors and control systems.
- Mechanical Service & Maintenance – including motors, moving mechanisms and mechanical troubleshooting.

Previous experience with automatic pedestrian doors is an advantage, but definitely not essential. What matters most is your technical ability, willingness to learn and commitment to doing the job properly.

What you'll bring

- A strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working independently and attending customer sites.
- A skilled, friendly attitude and good communication skills.
- Pride in your workmanship and attention to detail.
- A current NSW driver's licence, including the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- A willingness to learn new systems and develop specialised technical skills.
- Availability for overtime and participation in an after-hours on-call roster.
