Salary: AUD $79,000 – $85,000 per year + superannuation

Hanoi Mee is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Chef to join our team in Port Melbourne. This is a full-time position within a busy Vietnamese restaurant focused on delivering authentic flavours and high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking Vietnamese dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards
- Assisting in planning menus and seasonal specials while considering food costs and ingredient availability
- Monitoring food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and high-quality service
- Coordinating with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth daily restaurant operations
- Maintaining appropriate stock levels and assisting with ordering food supplies and kitchen ingredients




- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Assisting in training junior kitchen staff and demonstrating food preparation techniques when required
- Managing food storage, refrigeration, and ingredient handling to maintain freshness and minimise waste

Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef required
- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
