- This is a level 3 position under the panel and all applicants mustmeet the requirements of the skills and experience outlined in the panel.

- Demonstrated experience leading the administration, integrationand sustainment of complex enterprise datacentre environments, includingresponsibility for the coordination and technical direction of other ICTpersonnel.

- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, administering andtroubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linuxoperating environments.

- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and administeringenterprise virtualisation infrastructure, including VMware vSphere orequivalent technologies.

- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and administeringenterprise storage platforms, including shared storage and theirintegration with virtualised compute environments.

- Robust understanding of physical and software-defined networkingprinciples, including switching, routing, network segmentation, securityzones and the integration of datacentre networks with external networkboundaries.

- Demonstrated experience integrating enterprise applications andinfrastructure services within secured ICT environments, includingenvironments that do not have direct internet connectivity.

- Demonstrated ability to implement, assess and maintain securitycontrols aligned with the Information Security Manual and Essential Eightmitigation strategies, including the application of compartmentalisationand network segmentation principles.

- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining system designdocumentation, implementation documentation, Standard OperatingProcedures, configuration records and technical training material.

- Demonstrated experience providing Level 2 and Level 3 technicalsupport for complex datacentre technologies, including faultinvestigation, technical analysis and resolution of issues affectingintegrated systems.

- Proven ability to operate as a senior technical lead,



provideauthoritative technical advice and engage effectively with technicalteams, project staff, security stakeholders, capability representativesand senior management without direct technical oversight.

- Demonstrated experience managing anddirecting technical personnel, including work prioritisation, taskallocation, technical guidance, workforce coordination and progressreporting.

Requirements

- More than 10 years’ experience in datacentre infrastructure,Standard Operating Environment administration, enterprise application integrationor a closely related ICT field.

- Advanced experience designing, implementing, administering andsustaining VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware vSphere environments.

- Experience designing, implementing and administeringsoftware-defined networking solutions using VMware NSX or equivalenttechnologies.

- Experience designing, implementing and administering enterprisestorage infrastructure using Dell PowerStore or equivalent storageplatforms.

- Experience configuring and administering Cisco routing and switchingtechnologies within complex enterprise or Defence network environments.

- Experience designing, implementing or administering networksecurity solutions using Palo Alto or equivalent security technologies.

- Experience designing, implementing and administering virtualdesktop infrastructure using Omnissa Horizon or equivalent technologies.

- Experience with network and system integration at the tactical andoperational levels, including the management of interfaces with strategicnetwork boundaries.

- Experience working with the JP 2221-1 AUS MPE Network, theDeployable Information Environment or a comparable deployable Defence ICTnetwork.

- Experience designing,



integrating or sustaining Defence,government or other secured ICT environments containing classified,compartmented or segmented security domains.

- Relevant industry or vendor qualifications in one or more of thefollowing areas:

- VMware virtualisation orsoftware-defined networking;

- Microsoft server technologies;

- Cisco networking technologies;

- Palo Alto security technologies; or

- Experience developing and deliveringtechnical training, knowledge transfer or on-the-job mentoring to Defencetechnical personnel or equivalent technical workforces.

- Experience administering or integrating Splunk or equivalentlog-management, monitoring or security information and event managementplatforms.

- Experience with OpenShift, OpenStack, container orchestration orcomparable cloud-native infrastructure technologies.

- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and itsapplication to infrastructure engineering, application integration,testing and release management.

- Experience supporting technical innovation, experimentation ordemonstration activities involving emerging ICT technologies.

- Experience integrating cross-domain solutions into secured orclassified ICT environments.

- Exposure to virtual or augmented reality platforms and theirintegration with enterprise or military command-and-control systems.

- Experience integrating Android or other end-user-device platformsinto managed enterprise environments.

- Knowledge of deployable, Joint or Coalition ICT and missionsystems, including the operational considerations affecting systemintegration, interoperability and sustainment.

- Exposure to, or experience working within, Defence capabilitydevelopment, integration, test and evaluation, research or experimentationenvironments.

- Experience producing technical assessments, readiness advice, capabilityoptions or recommendations for senior Defence, government or executivestakeholders.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology,computer science, engineering, cybersecurity or a related discipline.

- An understanding of Five Eyes networks,systems and processes.
