About the role

We are seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Expert to join our housekeeping team at Le Meridien Melbourne on a part time basis. This role is essential to our operation, as you will be responsible for ensuring our guests experience the exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail that defines the Le Meridien brand. Working from our Melbourne VIC 3000 location, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the pristine condition of our guest rooms, public areas, and facilities, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and our reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

Cleaning and servicing guest rooms to the highest standards, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas

Restocking guest rooms with amenities, toiletries, and supplies in accordance with Le Meridien standards

Maintaining impeccable cleanliness of all public areas including lobbies, corridors, lifts, and common spaces

Inspecting rooms and areas for any damage or maintenance issues and reporting to supervisors promptly

Following detailed cleaning protocols and using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely

Managing waste disposal and laundry operations in line with environmental and health and safety guidelines

Responding to guest requests and special cleaning requirements with professionalism and efficiency

Communicating effectively with the housekeeping team and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations

Adhering to all health, safety,



and hygiene standards and company policies

What we’re looking for

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or similar cleaning environments

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining the highest cleanliness standards

Physical capability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift moderately heavy items

Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively to meet room turnover targets

Excellent organizational and communication skills

A positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in cleaning procedures

Certification in hospitality or cleaning services would be advantageous
