We’re recruiting on behalf of an established, privately owned civil construction business in Central West NSW (Dubbo region). With a strong regional reputation, a secure long-term pipeline of work and genuine plans for growth, this is a business where good people are valued and can make a real difference.
The role
Reporting directly to the owner and board, you’ll run the business day to day and lead its next stage of growth. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading operations across construction, plant and people
- Delivering the project pipeline safely, profitably and on programme
- Growing existing business lines and identifying opportunities to diversify into related services
- Managing the business’s outsourced estimating and procurement partners, and overseeing programming and scheduling
- Strengthening business systems, reporting and controlsBuilding a capable,
values-driven team and culture
- Reporting to the owner and board on performance, risk and strategy
About you
- Values come first here. You’re someone the owner can trust, with integrity and a genuine long-term commitment to the business
- Senior leadership experience in civil construction, such as Operations Manager, General Manager or Construction Manager
- A robust track record of delivering civil and land development projects
- Commercial acumen, with experience growing revenue and protecting margins
- Experience starting or growing a new business line or service is highly regarded
- A people leader who builds trust, accountability and buy-in
- Based in or near Dubbo, or keen to relocate and become part of the regional community
