Conveyor Technician | Bowen Basin | Permanent 4/3 Roster

NEPEAN Belting is seeking an experienced Conveyor Technician to support our growing customer base across the Bowen Basin. This is a permanent field-based role providing hands-on technical support, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting across multiple mining operations.

Working autonomously, you'll manage your own workload while delivering exceptional service and technical support to NEPEAN Belting customers. A trade qualification is not essential; however, a strong mechanical background and or extensive conveyor system experience are highly regarded.

About the Role As a Conveyor Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and supporting NEPEAN Belting customers across a range of mining operations throughout the Bowen Basin. You will provide technical expertise on conveyor systems and associated components while developing strong relationships with site maintenance teams and operational personnel.

Key responsibilities include:





- Conducting conveyor inspections and condition assessments
- Servicing, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems
- Providing technical support and recommendations to customers
- Diagnosing and resolving equipment performance issues
- Supporting conveyor reliability and operational efficiency
- Building strong customer relationships across multiple sites

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience working with conveyor belts, scrapers, pulleys, idlers and conveyor systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current Driver's Licence
- A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Underground mining experience is not essential but will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in mining, heavy industry or materials handling environments preferred
