Responsibilities

- Apply engineering expertise across all stages of design, with a focus on electrical system design, control systems, instrumentation, power distribution and industrial automation.
- Develop, review and refine electrical engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules and technical documentation.




- Work with mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs meet overall project requirements, including generator ventilation, exhaust systems and diesel fuel systems.
- Coordinate engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design reviews, technical procurement, fabrication and installation support.
- Review and refine technical drawings and solutions in collaboration with the internal design team to ensure constructability and compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
- Interface with clients, suppliers, and fabrication teams to resolve engineering queries and ensure technical requirements are clearly communicated and met.

Key Skills

- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Mechatronic Engineering qualifications will also be considered.
- Proven experience in engineering design and project coordination within construction, building services, MEP, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, control systems and industrial electrical equipment.
- Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Exposure to PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation and industrial control systems would be highly regarded.




- Understanding of relevant Australian electrical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD is advantageous. Experience with electrical CAD software would be an advantage.
- Understanding of electrical switchboards, control panels, component selection and manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to dry fire system design, including fire detection, alarm systems, system interfaces and associated electrical drawings, would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
