This family owned property development and management group in Brisbane is offering a part time finance role for am undergraduate or graduate who wants real commercial experience, with responsibility from the start.

The business develops, manages and maintains community focused destinations, so the finance function deals with real tenants, leases, suppliers and property entities. You would sit alongside the Company Accountant in a small, close team, owning a defined part of the day to day finance work rather than rotating through a pile of jobs.

It is a down to earth workplace with a long serving team and a leadership group that is easy to approach, in an industry that gives you plenty to learn.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Company Accountant, you will take care of the everyday finance administration that keeps the business running smoothly.

- Process and code supplier invoices in Xero and prepare payments
- Raise invoices for tenants and customers and follow up overdue accounts




- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate anything that does not match
- Apply the correct GST treatment to transactions
- Keep financial records organised with supporting documents attached
- Assist with month end and respond to audit and year end requests
- Support rent review administration and general office tasks

THE INDIVIDUAL:

- Currently studying a degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business, or a recent graduate
- Working knowledge of Xero, or a keen willingness to learn quickly
- Basic understanding of GST and bank reconciliations
- Comfortable using Excel and Microsoft Office
- Organised and careful with detail, and happy to ask questions when unsure
- Some experience in public practice, bookkeeping or a finance support role is ideal
