Raitt International Freight is seeking a Forklift / Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic team. Based in Pinkenba, QLD 4008, this role is fundamental to our warehouse and distribution operations. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth movement of goods through our facility, maintaining efficiency and safety standards whilst supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional logistics services to our clients.
Key responsibilities
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and store goods within the warehouse
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and containers with precision and care
- Conducting pre-operation checks on forklifts and reporting any maintenance issues or equipment defects
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements and warehouse transactions
- Organising and arranging goods in designated storage areas to maximise space and accessibility
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and warehouse procedures
- Assisting with general warehouse duties including cleaning, tidying and housekeeping
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and operational requirements
What we're looking for
- A valid forklift licence
- Previous experience operating forklifts and working in a warehouse or distribution environment
- A strong understanding of security and safety practices in warehouse operations
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and a commitment to punctuality
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
