Housekeeping Supervisor | Wildlife Retreat at Taronga | Full-Time

Looking for your next housekeeping leadership opportunity in one of Sydney’s most unique hospitality destinations? IHS is seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga on a full-time basis.

Located within Taronga Zoo and overlooking stunning Sydney Harbour, the Wildlife Retreat offers guests a truly unique accommodation experience surrounded by nature and wildlife.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced housekeeping professional to step into a key supervisory role at an iconic Sydney destination, supporting our Room Attendants and helping ensure every guest room is presented to an exceptional standard.

About the Role

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll play an important part in the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping team, with a strong focus on room inspections, quality standards and team support. Working closely with the housekeeping team and management, you’ll help ensure rooms are guest-ready, provide guidance and constructive feedback to Room Attendants and support the smooth running of daily housekeeping operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting detailed inspections of guest rooms to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Ensuring rooms are guest-ready and consistently meet the standards expected at the Wildlife Retreat
- Providing clear, constructive and supportive feedback to Room Attendants
- Coaching and guiding team members to strengthen cleaning quality, presentation and attention to detail
- Monitoring housekeeping standards throughout the shift and promptly addressing any quality concerns




- Supporting the team to meet daily room requirements and operational priorities
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues, damaged items and room presentation concerns
- Ensuring housekeeping procedures, safe work practices and WHS requirements are consistently followed
- Working collaboratively with housekeeping management and the broader team to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Leading by example and promoting a positive, professional and team-focused working environment

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Senior Room Attendant or similar position, ideally within a hotel, resort or premium accommodation environment
- Strong experience conducting room inspections and maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for room presentation
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- Ability to provide constructive and respectful feedback while supporting the development of team members
- A practical, hands-on approach to supervising a busy housekeeping operation
- Robust organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively while maintaining quality standards
- Sound knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals and safe work practices
- Professional presentation and a genuine commitment to guest service
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Valid working rights in Australia
