Acting or Assistant OSHC Coordinator - Macksville

Working closely with the Operations Manager and supported by our team of OSHC Coordinators, you will lead the daily operation, administration and ongoing sustainability of the service during school terms and Vacation Care periods, where applicable. You will act as the Responsible Person and there are opportunities for growth into the Coordinator and Educational Leader roles.

Key responsibilities

Help lead a child-safe, inclusive service that reflects the values and spirit of the Catholic Church.

Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, parishes and community stakeholders.

Support educators through supervision, training, rostering and day-to-day guidance.

Plan, implement and reflect on engaging programs aligned with My Time, Our Place.

Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, learning through play and children's self-regulation.

Support enrolments, compliance, reporting, workplace health and safety, resource planning and service administration.

Act as Responsible Person for designated shifts and Educational Leader when required.

About you

A qualification relevant to the role, such as Diploma or Certificate III in education or children's services, and/or substantial relevant experience.

Availability to work broken shifts Monday to Friday during school terms.

A current Working with Children Check and satisfactory National Criminal History check.

Current First Aid,



CPR and Child Protection certifications.

Completion of mandatory National Child Safety Training.

A driver licence and capacity to travel when required are desirable.

Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, child protection obligations and the My Time, Our Place framework.

Previous experience as a Responsible Person, Educational Leader or supervisor in an education and care setting will be highly regarded.
