About the role

TM Collins are seeking a motivated and highly organised Junior Conveyancing Paralegal to join our growing Property and Conveyancing team in Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some conveyancing experience who is looking to further develop their skills while working closely with and supporting an experienced Senior Conveyancer.

The successful candidate will assist with a broad range of residential, off-the-plan, commercial and industrial conveyancing matters across Victoria and will receive ongoing training and support to develop their technical conveyancing knowledge and experience.

Key responsibilities

- Assist a Senior Conveyancer (and other members of the Property team) with the day-to-day management of conveyancing matters across Victoria, including residential, off-the-plan, commercial and industrial transactions.
- Assist with the preparation of Contracts of Sale, Vendor Statements, Transfers and other conveyancing and settlement documentation.
- Assist with opening new files, ordering searches and certificates, preparing correspondence and maintaining conveyancing files.
- Assist with preparing and lodging Duties Online forms and other settlement documentation.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of PEXA workspaces and settlements.
- Assist with off-the-plan development settlements, including acting for developers and purchasers.
- Liaise with clients, agents, lenders, brokers, lawyers and other stakeholders under the supervision of the Senior Conveyancer.
- Monitor key dates and settlement requirements and assist with ensuring matters progress efficiently.
- Assist with settlement preparation,



including preparation of settlement figures, adjustments and supporting documentation.
- Provide general administrative and file management support to the Property and Conveyancing team as required.
- Develop your knowledge of conveyancing processes, PEXA, Duties Online and Victorian property transactions with the support of senior members of the team.

Experience assisting with conveyancing matters in New South Wales or Queensland is not required but would be desirable. About you To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Approximately 1–2 years' experience in conveyancing or a similar property-related legal role.
- Some experience with Victorian residential conveyancing matters.
- Exposure to PEXA and Duties Online, or a willingness and ability to learn these systems quickly.
- An interest in developing experience across residential, off-the-plan, commercial and industrial conveyancing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, reliable and team-oriented approach.
- A willingness to learn, take direction and progressively take on greater responsibility.
