About the role
You have a desire to learn new skills in an emerging industry? Then this is not a traditional electrical or workshop assistant type role.
It requires an aspiring professional who is looking to be challenged, ideally with an interest in Drafting and/or Electrical, Auto Electrical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. This is a hands on role with a difference for a productive worker who takes pride in their work, likes to be challenged in:
- Learning
- Manufacturing and processes
- Maintenance and continual improvement while supporting existing team members
- Assist where required in design and production of new products
- Research and development in Extra Low Voltage Solar-Powered Stand Alone Lighting Systems and Low Impact Extra Low Voltage DC Diesel Genets and Hydraulic systems.
At times there will be challenges of short turn around, tight production runs with priorities changing throughout the course of the work week. Experience in Drafting or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering will be beneficial but not required. Where necessary there will be elements of hands and physical work in the workshop/ field, with a lot of on-the-job training provided. So,
a basic knowledge and experience with hand tools and workshop equipment will be of significant advantage.
You must have a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, some workshop experience, adequate tool skills, and a solid team spirit.
We are presently a small team servicing NSW and QLD with limited facilities, adequate but not yet world class tooling. Despite those current limitations we achieve industry leading world class results through smart design, strong engineering and sound manufacture. This enables us to hire our high performance solar-powered lighting apparatus to major infrastructure and mining projects.
Our business is growing. So, this is a ground floor opportunity for you to grow with the company.
If you qualify and you live within 35km or 40 minutes drive of Ironbark, QLD, if you have a current car license, a forklift license (willing to obtain one), a electrical/ mechanical intersts, and a Construction Industry White Card (willing to obtain one), we could use your help!
