Our valued client, based in Hornsby, operates a manufacturing facility specialising in the production and packaging of personal care and cosmetic products.
Due to ongoing operational requirements, they are seeking two experienced Maintenance Fitters to join their team.
About the Role:
The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and mechanical repairs across the manufacturing facility, ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
This role is focused on maintenance and repairs. Candidates will not be required to operate production machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance.
- Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and faults.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify faults.
- Assist with machinery setups and adjustments.
- Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
- Support the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Skills &
Experience Required:
- Trade-qualified with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous maintenance and mechanical repair experience.
- Experience with machinery breakdowns, servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Candidates do not need to be specifically qualified as a Fitter and Turner.
Qualified Motor
Mechanics or candidates with similar mechanical trade qualifications will also be considered.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, with start and finish times varying depending on operational requirements.
- Start times between 6:00 am and 8:00 am.
- Finish times between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have your own reliable transport and current driver's licence.
- Must have full working rights in Australia, as there is an opportunity for permanent employment.
- Successful candidates will be required to attend an on-site meet and greet prior to commencement.
