Action Workforce is currently seeking experienced and reliable MR Drivers and Offsiders to join our team at a busy white goods delivery and installation operation in Newcastle, NSW.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates looking for ongoing Monday to Friday work, delivering and installing household appliances.
Shift: Day Shift – 6:00am or 6:30am starts
Shift length: Approximately 8–10 hours per day
Location: Eastern Creek, NSW
Pay Rate:
- MR Driver – $40.00 per hour
- Offsider – $37.50 per hour
Monday to Friday availability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
MR Driver:
- Safely operate a Medium Rigid (MR) delivery truck.
- Deliver and install white goods, including refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to customers homes, job sites and retail stores.
- Assist with the removal and dismantling of old appliances.
- Install and connect new appliances, including hoses, drainage and power connections.
- Conduct basic appliance inspections and test functionality after installation.
- Use basic power tools, including drills, to secure appliances where required.
- Work alongside an offsider to complete deliveries and installations safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and restrained before transport.
- Maintain excellent customer service and communication throughout deliveries.
Offsider:
- Assist the driver with the delivery and installation of white goods.
- Help deliver refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers and other household appliances.
- Manually unload and move appliances using trolleys and tail-lifts.
- Assist with the removal of old appliances and installation of new units.
- Have basic knowledge of power tools and assist with installation tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers.
- Ensure all manual handling and delivery tasks are completed safely.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
MR Driver:
- A current MR drivers licence or higher.
- Minimum 8–10 months of MR driving experience.
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
- Experience with manual handling and heavy goods.
- Basic knowledge of power tools.
- Good knowledge of Sydney roads and the ability to navigate independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and robust work ethic.
- Physically fit with no lifting restrictions.
- Reliable and punctual, with availability Monday to Friday.
Offsider:
- Previous removalist, delivery or offsider experience is highly regarded.
- Experience with manual handling and moving heavy appliances.
- Basic knowledge of power tools.
- Ability to use trolleys and tail-lifts safely.
- Good knowledge of Sydney roads is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Physically fit with no lifting restrictions.
- Reliable and punctual, with availability Monday to Friday.
