Position: Bottle Shop Manager – Gladstone

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Bottle Shop Manager to lead our retail store in Gladstone.

This is a hands‑on management role suited to someone who enjoys working in retail, has strong leadership skills and knows what it takes to run a successful store. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, leading and supporting the team, managing stock and ordering, driving sales and ensuring customers receive friendly and helpful service.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and confident taking ownership of the store’s performance, while creating a positive and welcoming environment for both customers and staff.

This is a full‑time opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the role and make a real contribution to the business.

What you’ll be doing

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the bottle shop

- Leading, supporting and developing the store team

- Delivering friendly and helpful customer service

- Managing stock levels, ordering, deliveries and stocktakes

- Monitoring sales performance, budgets and profit margins

- Planning and running in-store specials, promotions and pricing

- Maintaining store presentation and merchandising standards

- Building strong relationships with suppliers and sales representatives

- Managing staff rostering, training and performance

- Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing requirements and workplace procedures

- Identifying opportunities to improve sales and overall store performance

What we’re looking for





- Previous experience in retail management, ideally within a bottle shop or liquor retail environment

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team

- Good understanding of stock control, ordering and inventory management

- Commercial awareness and an understanding of sales and profit margins

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- Strong organisation and time management skills

- Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for store operations

- A positive, hands‑on approach and willingness to get involved wherever needed

Previous experience in liquor retail will be highly regarded, but we’re also interested in candidates with strong retail management experience from other industries.
