SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment in North Tamborine, Queensland. This role is crucial for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food quality, and managing staff effectively. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a proven track record in restaurant management, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our venue.

THE ROLE

Working as part of our Food & Beverage team, you’ll be responsible for the full operation of our restaurant outlets, including the Rainforest Restaurant & Lounge Bar and Terrace Café. You’ll lead the team, set and hold service standards, look after health and safety, and drive the outlet’s financial performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, bar and café

Recruit, train, roster and motivate front-of-house staff, giving regular feedback

Coordinate shifts across floor, bar and kitchen support staff

Lead service on the floor, greet guests and manage table reservations efficiently

Resolve guest feedback and complaints promptly, keeping food and service standards high

Plan and update menus in consultation with the Head Chef

Work with the events team to deliver functions, weddings and conferences to client requirements

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety

Monitor stock, order supplies and control costs in line with budget

Ensure the responsible service of alcohol and compliance with our liquor licence

ABOUT YOU

You’ll bring restaurant management experience, strong leadership and a genuine passion for hospitality.



We’re particularly looking for someone who is:

A confident, hands-on leader who builds and develops a strong team

Friendly, professional and genuinely guest-focused

Commercially minded, with experience managing rosters, stock and budgets

Energetic, adaptable and calm under pressure

Well presented and flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings

You’ll hold an AQF Diploma or higher in a relevant field (such as hospitality management) and at least one year’s experience as a Restaurant Manager. A current QLD RSA is essential, and an RMLV or Food Safety Supervisor certificate is highly regarded.
