We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and effective transportation of goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Generally daily route is Coburg to Devon Meadows.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
- Transport goods to and from designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logbooks
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Report any vehicle faults, incidents, or delays promptly
Requirements
- Valid HR Driver's Licence
- Proven experience as a truck driver (preferred)
- Minimum 6 months truck driving experience required
- Good driving record with a strong focus on safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical fitness for loading and unloading tasks
- Knowledge of road transport laws and regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
- Familiarity with local and regional routes
- Basic mechanical knowledge
