This growing CA firm is seeking an experienced SMSF Supervisor/Manager to join its established team of accounting professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for an SMSF qualified looking to take ownership of a diverse SMSF portfolio, combining technical review, workflow management and client relationship responsibilities.
Working closely with internal accountants, offshore resources and external auditors, you will oversee the delivery of SMSF compliance and advisory services, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and within required deadlines.
Day to day, your role will involve:
- Manage the SMSF portfolio, workflow and compliance deadlines
- Coordinate work allocation across internal and offshore teams
- Oversee the preparation and review of SMSF financial statements and annual returns
- Review complex SMSF matters, including pensions, contributions and investment compliance
- Manage external audits, auditor queries and outstanding matters
- Act as the key contact for SMSF clients,
providing technical guidance and advice
- Provide training, mentoring and technical support to the wider team
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service delivery
Applicants:
- Minimum 3 years' SMSF experience in Australian public practice
- CA/CPA qualified preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of SMSF compliance, taxation and legislation
- Experience managing portfolios and reviewing SMSF work
- Proficient in BGL Simple Fund 360 or similar software
- Experience supervising accountants and offshore teams will be highly regarded
