About the role

Forty Winks is seeking an experienced Store Manager for our Bundaberg QLD location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving the success and profitability of our store.

As Store

Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and achieving sales targets whilst maintaining the highest standards of store operations. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on store performance and contribute to the growth of the Forty Winks brand in the local community.

What you'll be doing

- Leading and motivating a team of sales associates, providing coaching, training and performance management to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Managing daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management
- Driving sales performance and achieving store targets through strategic planning and effective team leadership
- Creating and maintaining a welcoming store environment that reflects Forty Winks' brand standards and visual merchandising guidelines
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and encourage repeat business
- Managing stock levels, conducting regular stock takes, and liaising with head office on inventory requirements
- Responding to customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction
- Implementing company policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and health and safety requirements




- Analysing sales data and reporting on store performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Recruiting, onboarding and developing team members to build a high-performing store workforce

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the furniture, bedding or home furnishings sector
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Excellent sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Outstanding customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting customer relationships
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in retail management systems and point-of-sale technology
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail best practices
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required
- High level of integrity, reliability and qualified conduct
- Preferably, experience with inventory management systems and data analysis
