You'll contribute to a high-impact initiative delivering secure, scalable, and citizen-focused services across Australia.Your new roleAs a Test / QA Engineer (SDET), you will drive quality assurance across new, integrated, and migrated capabilities within the RegistryConnect program. You will develop risk-based testing strategies, build automated testing frameworks, embed testing into CI/CD pipelines, and validate complex business processes throughout the delivery lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:

- Creating risk-based test strategies and maintaining end-to-end traceability
- Developing automated API, integration, system, and regression test suites
- Embedding automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Supporting migration validation and reconciliation activities
- Verifying behavioural equivalence between legacy and modern platforms
- Producing quality metrics and evidence-based release recommendations
- Collaborating with delivery teams and transferring knowledge to internal stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, QA Engineer, or SDET




- Strong automation testing experience across APIs, integration, system, and regression testing
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with migration testing, reconciliation validation, and complex business rule testing
- Exposure to Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST Assured, or similar frameworks
- Experience with performance testing, security testing, or legacy system migrations is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Mandatory Requirements:

- Australian Citizen with at least Baseline Clearance.
- Australia-based
- Ability to obtain ASIC ASB clearance before commencement
