Due to increased demand, we are seeking experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitters to join their manufacturing and refurbishment workshop based in Jandakot, WA.

The Role

Working within a clean, well-equipped and productive workshop environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment and repair of exciters, agitators and mining-related gearboxes.

Your duties will include:

- Stripping, inspecting, repairing and assembling mechanical components.
- Gearbox fitting, refurbishment and maintenance.
- Working on exciters and agitators used within the mining industry.
- Reading and interpreting engineering and assembly drawings.
- Using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers.
- Conducting quality checks and testing completed assemblies.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and workplace safety.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, reliable and have previous experience working within a mechanical workshop, ideally with a strong focus on gearbox refurbishment.

You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a positive attitude towards safety and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

What's on Offer?

- $57.68 per hour + applicable penalty rates
- Immediate start available.
- Ongoing casual employment with consistent work.
- Afternoon shifts: 2:30pm – 10:00pm.




- Flexibility to work across both morning and afternoon shifts as required.
- Overtime applies Monday to Friday after 7.6 hours per shift.
- Occasional Saturday and Sunday work, with applicable penalty rates.
- Free onsite parking.

Skills & Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
- Fitters and Turners or Automotive Mechanic qualifications will also be considered.
- Automotive Light Vehicle (LV) trade qualifications may be considered.
- Current HRWL – Forklift Licence (LF) is essential.
- White Card.
- Current driver's licence and reliable own transport.
- National Police Clearance with a clear record.
- Ability to read and interpret technical, engineering and assembly drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Previous gearbox refurbishment experience.
- Dogging and/or Rigging tickets. Candidates holding these additional qualifications will be viewed favourably.

Candidates must also be flexible and available to work across both AM and PM shifts as operational requirements dictate.
