We’re recruiting for a leading Victorian residential construction group seeking an experienced, confident and highly personable Estimating Manager to take ownership of a large and established estimating function.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who brings strong technical estimating experience, exceptional time management and, most importantly, a genuine passion for leading and developing people.

You’ll oversee an offshore team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed, deadlines are achieved and estimating operations run efficiently.

The Opportunity

Reporting into senior management, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership, performance and development of a busy estimating team supporting residential construction projects.

You’ll play a critical role in managing competing priorities, maintaining estimating accuracy, improving processes and ensuring strong communication across both onsite and offshore operations.

This is a hands‑on leadership role where your ability to motivate people, manage expectations and deliver results will be just as important as your technical expertise.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead, mentor and develop a large team across onsite and offshore operations.
- Manage daily workloads, priorities and deadlines across sales and production estimating.
- Oversee BOQs,



tender pricing, contract estimates and costing accuracy.
- Monitor team performance, productivity, quality and turnaround times.
- Build strong relationships and communication between local and offshore teams.
- Identify opportunities to streamline estimating processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to develop team capability.
- Collaborate with construction, drafting, procurement and sales teams.
- Maintain accurate pricing, supplier costs and regional construction requirements.
- Create a positive, accountable and high‑performing team environment.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced leader who understands estimating, but more importantly, understands people.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Extensive experience in residential construction estimating within the Victorian market.
- Proven experience leading and managing estimating teams.
- Outstanding time management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Strong technical knowledge across production estimating, sales estimating and BOQs.
- Experience managing high-volume workloads and competing deadlines.
- A confident, approachable and genuinely personable leadership style.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to motivate,



develop and hold team members accountable.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
- Experience managing offshore teams would be highly regarded.
- A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
