Our Client

Our client is Kraft Heinz, one of the biggest names in food, and this role sits at their Golden Circle factory in Northgate. Safety is part of how the site runs day to day, and the team works closely with ops, maintenance and food safety. They’re now looking for an EHS Coordinator to support the EHS Manager and help keep that standard moving.

The Role

You’ll report to the EHS Manager and be the hands-on EHS presence on the floor. Most of your day is spent out in the plant doing inspections, closing out incidents and hazards, supporting people through injury management and helping the operational teams get safety right in their daily routine. You’ll also work with the wider ANZ and Global EHS group, so you’ll be part of something bigger than just the one site.

This suits someone who is studying or has just finished WHS qualifications and wants to grow in a proper manufacturing environment. It also suits someone with a few years under their belt who likes being close to operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Run routine EHS inspections and risk assessments across the operation
- Support and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Coordinate and deliver EHS training, and keep training records and matrices up to date
- Manage return to work and injury management,



including new WorkCover claims, suitable duties plans and regular check-ins with injured workers
- Work with production, maintenance and Food Safety & Quality to build EHS into daily operations
- Be the point of contact for internal and external audits
- Take part in safety committee meetings and drive a proactive safety culture
- Assist with sustainability and environmental initiatives, including waste reduction and energy efficiency
- Join ANZ and Global EHS meetings and continuous improvement projects
- Keep EHS records, audit and inspection documentation in order
- Work to relevant WHS legislation and regulations

Skills Required

- Qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, or currently working towards one
- Understanding of the WHS regulatory framework and relevant legislation
- Experience or exposure to ISO systems (9001, 45001 or 14001)
- Confident with Microsoft Office and EHS management software
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Return to Work Coordinator qualification
- Comfortable in a manufacturing workplace with heavy machinery and equipment
