Know your way around a roof and take pride in leaving a job tidy? Join an in-house solar crew that cares about straight panel runs, clean roof work and doing the job safely.

Open Electrical is a family-owned Brisbane solar and battery business run by electricians. Our own crews install the systems we design, and you’ll work alongside accredited electricians and apprentices on residential and commercial jobs across South East Queensland.

Solar roofing experience is highly regarded. If you’ve worked in roofing, construction or as a trades assistant and you’re confident on roofs and with tools, we’d like to hear from you. We can teach you how we install solar.

What you’ll do

- Set out and fit solar mounting hardware and rails, then help lift, position and secure panels.

- Work across tile and metal roofs, taking care with roof surfaces, fixings and weatherproofing.

- Help set up the site, move gear safely and keep tools and materials organised so the crew can get on with the job.

- Follow the crew lead’s direction, use the required fall protection and speak up when something looks unsafe or needs a second look.

- Pack down properly and leave the customer’s property clean and tidy.

What you’ll bring

- Practical experience in solar roofing, roofing,



construction labouring or a similar hands-on role.

- Confidence using hand and power tools and working safely on roofs.

- A White Card, Working at Heights training before you start and a current driver’s licence.

- Reliability, a positive eye for detail and the initiative to see what needs doing next.

- A professional attitude around customers and respect for their homes.
