The HSEQ Business Partner has the remit of developing, implementing and improving the HSEQ Framework within a busy manufacturing environment.

This stand-alone role also acts as the primary point of contact for health, safety and quality matters and partners with operational leaders to provide technical advice, identify risks and corrective actions, strengthen HSEQ capability and support compliance, quality assurance and continual improvement. The role also oversees the annual ISO certification audit and supports the maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation. The position is predominantly on-site in Gateshead NSW. It reports to the Group HR Manager, with the potential to evolve into an Executive position and establish an HSEQ department longer term.

We're therefore looking for someone with proven results and senior expertise to confidently identify and implement the next steps in maturing our HSEQ framework, bringing stakeholders on the journey. Relevant qualifications & breadth of experience across both HSE and Quality will ensure that you can jump right into this role, ideally within a manufacturing or similar industry.

As a standalone position,



knowing how to toggle effectively between strategic/complex matters and operational or emergent tasks is key. You'll know how to identify the priorities, problems and improvement opportunities, build buy-in & schedule your own workload. You'll be supported by your teammates in HR, who are on a similar journey, and operational managers keen for your insights & support in further embedding the core values of Safety & Quality into our culture.

We have an immediate start available but flexible on start date to make sure we find the best suited person for this role
