The business is focused on creating intelligent solutions leveraging AI and combining electronics, embedded systems and data-driven technology to deliver meaningful applications in healthcare.
The role
We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to contribute to the development of embedded software for next-generation devices.
Working closely with electronics, hardware and AI engineering teams, you'll develop and optimise firmware, integrate sensors and communication technologies, and help take products from early-stage development through to testing, validation and production.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain embedded firmware for wearable electronic devices.
- Develop firmware for microcontrollers and sensor-based systems.
- Integrate sensors, analogue electronics and wireless communication interfaces.
- Work with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and low-power embedded technologies.
- Optimise firmware for performance, reliability, power consumption and battery life.
- Support hardware bring-up, debugging, testing and product validation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware,
electronics and software.
- Contribute to firmware architecture, technical documentation and product development.
About you
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in embedded firmware development, ideally using C/C++.
- Experience working with microcontrollers and hardware interfaces.
- Understanding of sensor integration and embedded communication protocols.
- Exposure to BLE, wireless technologies and low-power design.
- Experience debugging and testing embedded systems.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on product development workplace.
Experience within medical devices, wearable technology or sensor-based products would be highly advantageous.
The opportunity
An opportunity to join an innovative technology business developing advanced physical AI products, working alongside a multidisciplinary engineering team and contributing to technology from concept through to commercial production.
If you're passionate about embedded systems, firmware development and building technology with real-world applications, we'd like to hear from you.
