Based at our Piangil winery in North West Victoria, we're seeking motivated and reliable Permanent Cellar Hands to join our winery team. Whether you're looking to start a career in the wine industry or bring existing winery experience, this is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment with full training and development provided.

Please note this position is only open to applicants looking for a long-term position, not just vintage only.

About the Role

As a Permanent Cellar Hand, you'll be involved in all aspects of winery production, supporting the winemaking process from vintage through to packaging. Working under the guidance of an experienced committed team, you'll operate winery equipment, assist with cellar operations and help ensure our wines are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform a range of cellar operations including:
- Filtration (Centrifuge and Cross Flow)
- Barrel handling, transfers, blending and rackings
- Bulk wine receival and dispatch
- Wine additions and cellar processing
- Crush and press operations during vintage

- Operate pumps, machinery and winery equipment safely
- Maintain high standards of cellar hygiene and cleanliness

- Assist with general winery duties to meet production schedules
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

About You

We're looking for enthusiastic, hardworking team players who enjoy hands-on work and thrive in a production environment.

Please note this position is only open to applicants looking for a long-term position, not just vintage only.

You'll have:

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- The ability to work safely and follow procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays during vintage
- The ability to undertake physical work, including lifting up to 20kg, working at heights and in confined spaces

Previous winery experience is welcomed but not essential—full training will be provided for the right candidates.

What We Offer

- Full-time opportunities available
- On-the-job training with opportunities to develop your winemaking skills
- Opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Wine Industry Operations
- A supportive team setting within a large family-owned winery
- Experience across all stages of the winemaking process

This role is based at our Piangil Winery and requires flexibility to work additional hours during vintage and other peak production periods.

If you're looking for a rewarding, hands-on role in the wine industry, we'd love to hear from you.
