About the role

We are seeking 1-2 qualified Pipe Welders or Pipe Fitters to support site works in proximity to Chinchilla on a short-term contract. Meals and accommodation will be provided.

As this is a short contract, pay rates are very competitive.

On completion of the works, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent role with MFE.

What you will be doing





- Interpret and work from isometric drawings, technical drawings and specifications
- Perform pipe fitting and welding activities to required standards
- Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety and compliance requirements
- Follow LEAN and 5S principles to maintain an efficient and organised workspace
- Complete relevant documentation, permits and reporting requirements
- Collaborate effectively within a team to deliver high-quality outcomes

Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role

- Proven experience welding or fitting to piping standards
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques (GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, GMAW)
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Experience working within quality assurance and testing environments
- Strong safety mindset with experience in permits, JSEAs and procedures
- Very competitive pay rates for this short-term contract
- Possible opportunity to transition into a permanent role with MFE on completion of the works
