Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing end-to-end payroll in a timely and accurate manner
- Managing timesheets, attendance records and employee pay information
- Reviewing and processing overtime, allowances, penalties and leave entitlements
- Working with operational teams to resolve timesheet and payroll queries
- Ensuring payroll is processed in line with relevant awards, agreements and company policies
- Ensuring Superannuation is paid consistently and accurately
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and information
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepanciesSupporting month-end and EOFY payroll requirements
- Providing general support to the wider finance team as required

Ideally, you'll bring:





- Minimum 2 years' experience in a payroll position
- Strong communication skills, not just via email but, over the phone - having the confidence to pick up the phone and speak to the people on site.
- Previous experience within mining, resources or a similar operational environment highly regarded
- Experience processing payroll for employees working across different rosters and shifts - situational awareness
- Understanding of managing payroll deduction processes for (but not limited to): CSA, Salary Sacrifice, etc..
- Pronto experience preferred, but not essential
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, allowances, overtime and entitlements (system does majority of the interpretation - you will be the "check & balance", making sure it looks right)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
