Amorettis is looking for experienced, energetic and customer-focused waitstaff to join our team.
We are looking for people who understand that great service is more than simply taking orders — it’s about creating an excellent guest experience, working as part of a team and helping the restaurant deliver a high standard of service every shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide friendly, qualified and attentive service to all guests
- Greet and seat customers in a warm and welcoming manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Have a strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients and daily specials
- Confidently recommend dishes, drinks and additional items to guests
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and correctly
- Check on tables throughout the meal and respond promptly to customer needs
- Clear and reset tables efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional service area
- Process customer payments accurately
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar and management team
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Follow all restaurant service, hygiene and safety procedures
- Help maintain a positive and energetic atmosphere within the team
- Handle customer requests and concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when required
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a waiter/waitress in a busy restaurant
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service
- Ability to confidently describe menu items and make recommendations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive and professional attitude
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine passion for hospitality
DESIRABLE
- Italian restaurant experience
- Knowledge of Italian food and wine
- RSA certificate
- Experience with POS systems
- Experience working in a high-volume restaurant
- Ability to upsell and increase average customer spend
